Double Chocolate Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 cup Rolled Oats (100g)
- 1 cup Milk (250ml)
- 1 cup Water (250ml)
- A pinch of Salt
- 2 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 4 tbsp Maple Syrup
- ¼ cup Chocolate Chips (40g)
- 12 Fresh Strawberries
Instructions
- In a pot, combine rolled oats, milk, water and salt. Cover it with a lid and bring to a boil. Remove the lid, reduce the heat to low and add cocoa powder. Stir constantly for 5 to 7minutes or until the oats are cooked and you are happy with their consistency.
- Turn off the heat. Stir in the maple syrup and chocolate chips. Divide into 2 bowls, top with strawberries and extra chocolate chips.
Recipe Notes
- Maple syrup can be substituted with honey.
- The cooking time may vary. This will depend on how thick you like your oatmeal.
- Use any toppings you like – raspberries, blueberries, bananas, nuts, seeds, ….
- Chocolate chips can be omitted or substituted with chocolate shavings.
